Why it exists
About Stash
Turn the coding-agent tips you see online into skills and rules your agent actually uses.

Every day there's a new short video about a Claude Code trick: a skill that fixes generic-looking UIs, a CLAUDE.md rule that saves tokens, an MCP server worth trying. You save it, and it never comes back. Stash closes that gap. It captures the post in two taps, turns it into something concrete, and brings it up in the repo where it helps, when it helps.
What we believe
- Your data is yours. Tips live in a git repo you own and your private iCloud. There's no Stash server and no tracking.
- Nothing changes without you. Every change to your code is shown as a diff and needs your OK.
- Posts are untrusted. The safety model assumes some posts are written to manipulate agents.
- Deterministic where possible. Matching, indexing and safety checks are plain code, so they're fast and predictable. The model is used where judgment helps.
- Works with any agent. Rules go to CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md, skills to
.claude/skillsand.agents/skills.
How it's built
A SwiftUI iPhone app and share extension, a SwiftUI menu bar app for the Mac, a Claude Code plugin, and a small TypeScript CLI that does the deterministic work. Everything is open source under the MIT license. Read the design decisionsand safety decisions for the reasoning behind each choice.
